We're delighted to announce the return of fishing at Bondhay with the launch of Bondhay Lake – a peaceful, exclusive carp fishing venue set within the beautiful surroundings of Bondhay Golf Club.
Designed for anglers who appreciate a quieter, more personal fishing experience, Bondhay Lake is available to book exclusively for up to two anglers, making it the perfect choice for a couple of friends looking for a social session or a parent and child wanting quality time together on the bank.
The facility is being managed exclusively in partnership with Embryo Angling, who are custodians of a number of other waters in the area, including nearby Kiveton Waters.
Josh Clarke, Operations Director at Bondhay Golf Club, said:
"Bondhay Lake has been three years in the making, so it's incredibly exciting to be able to bring this project online for fishing enthusiasts to enjoy. The lake is another string to the bow of what we offer at the Club as we push forward with our growth and improvement plans. It is situated in a largely unvisted part of the property, offering an incredibly picturesque and secluded spot to put the lines out and enjoy the peace that it has to offer."
"This project wouldn't have been possible without the hard work and dedication of the Embryo team and volunteers, who have painstakingly tended to the fish stock, the lake and the surrounding areas through the seasons, come rain or shine. The fish have certainly come a long way since they were put in as nippers some years ago."
Bondhay Lake is available to book online now for dates from Saturday 20th June 2026 onwards. Tickets are on a 24 hour basis with up to two anglers permitted at any one time.
Despite its intimate size, Bondhay Lake holds a healthy stock of carp reaching 27lb, including some stunning scaly mirrors and beautiful golden commons. With exclusive access to the entire lake, you'll have the freedom to fish at your own pace and enjoy the tranquillity of the venue without interruption.
