The Data We Collect & How We Use It
We obtain information about you when you use our website, for example, when you contact us about products and services, either through our contact forms or calling us directly from our email address or phone numbers provided.
When you visit our website we collect standard internet log information that helps us to analyse details, such as number of visitors to the site and patterns in visitor behaviour, which enable us to improve the user experience. This is collected in a way that keeps the user's identity anonymous. If you visit certain areas of this site you may be asked to provide us with personal data, such as names, addresses, telephone and fax numbers and/or email addresses. The user enters their personal information knowingly and with a purpose, such as for a general enquiry. Depending on the form used, this information is sent to the relevant mail inbox within the business for response or processing. The submission data is also stored securely within our website.
Application for Membership can be made via our website and require the submission of personal data by the User, sometimes including financial choices, an image of personal identification and personal signature. This information is sent to the relevant mail inbox within the business for response or processing and may be kept on record for the period in which the individual is a Member. The submission data is also stored securely within our website. The Membership Application may include the option for the User to designate that they wish to make payment through a finance partner. We do not automatically share your data with any third party finance providers.
Your personal data in relation to a Membership of the Club will be automatically inputted by us into our membership database, hosted confidentially by third party software, which is used to manage your status, renewals, and allow booking on the golf course(s). The same system may also allow you to use a mobile or web app to manage your membership and/or make bookings.
From November 2024, we also collect and store a single copy of photographic identification from membership applicants. This is done following guidance by the sport's governing body, England Golf, to assist with safeguarding and criminal enquiries should the need arise. We also reference identification to validate applications for age-based rates, such as Young Adults membership. The image copy will be stored securely on our cloud-based internal storage solution. At the end or termination of a membership, the copy of the identification that we hold will be deleted completely from our records.
The Driving Range operates using third party booking software which shares your personal data with us. Personal data includes your name, phone number, email address, payment method and booking information.
We may use technologies such as cookies within digital marketing networks, ad exchanges and social media networks to get relevant marketing messages across to you and other customers.
When you agree to receive marketing we will keep you up to date with news of products and services including events, offers, promotions and sale data. We may send you marketing via email, SMS or post, depending on your preferences. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time using the link in the email or by emailing marketing@bondhaygolfclub.com.
We take payment details to process payment for any credit or debit card or cash orders you place with us. We share these details with our chosen payment processors automatically.
Your account data and delivery address is used to deliver your purchase(s) and keep you informed of their status, and to process any returns. Customers that choose delivery of their product(s) have their data shared with our third party courier for the purpose of delivery only. At this stage, the delivery company also becomes a data processor and handler and shares responsibility for its security. At the time of writing, users do not have the ability to create an account to return to purchases, so each order is treated as a 'guest' user.
We will not sell or rent your information to third parties. We will not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes
