Dress Code & Etiquette

We're pleased to welcome people from all golfing backgrounds and standards to Bondhay, but we ask that all members and visitors adhere to our dress policy where applicable.

Devonshire Course

Gents Dress Code
Shirts
Recognised golf shirts which should be tucked in and have collars or mock collars and sleeves. Lively patterns and colours are acceptable, but any offensive language or images are not permitted. Recognised golf attire that doesn't have collars etc may be permitted, but remain at the discretion of the Head Pro or Pro on Duty.
Trousers & Shorts
Tailored golf trousers, tailored shorts or chinos are preferred. Golf joggers are permitted as long as they are from a recognised golf brand. Shorts should not be more than 4" above the knee. Denim or cargo style trousers or shorts are not permitted. Tracksuits and standard joggers are not permitted.
Socks
Long, ankle or trainer socks.
Shoes
Golf shoes only. No trainers, open toe shoes or other footwear is permitted.
Headwear
Caps, winter hats and winter neckrolls (or similar) are permitted.

Ladies Dress Code
Shirts
Ladies shirts to be worn as designed, whether with sleeves or sleeveless. Shirts should be collared unless collarless as designed by a recognised golf brand. Lively patterns and colours are acceptable, but any offensive language or images are not permitted.

Tailored golf trousers, tailored shorts, skirts or chinos are preferred. Golf joggers are permitted as long as they are from a recognised golf brand. Etiquette

Players are asked to respect and abide by the following:
Replace divots and repair pitch marks
Rake the bunkers after play
Avoid taking trolleys on the tees and greens
A single player has no standing on the course
Be respectful of others and play, keeping noise to a minimum and phones on silent

Confirmation of Tee Times

Please ensure that you arrive at the Club giving yourself plenty of time before your designated tee time. If for any reason you cannot make the time, or if the numbers in your party have dropped please contact the Pro Shop as soon as possible.

Academy Course

Whilst golf attire is recommended, the Academy Course offers a more relaxed approach to the dress code meaning it is more inclusive for beginners and families. T-shirts must be worn at all times. Please respect others.
