Bondhay Golf Club was proudly named Turnaround Club Of The Year at this year's Club Awards this November! In a hotly contentested event which saw a variety of different clubs from around the country enter, Bondhay saw off competition to be recognised for its dedication to improvement over the last 12 months and beyond.
The awards took place on Wednesday 22nd November 2023 at The Athena in Leicester, including a three course meal and ceremony hosted by sports journalist John Inverdale. All of this year's winners can be viewed here.
Bondhay made it to the final shortlist for two categories in advance — Golf Club of the Year and Turnaround Club of the Year — but were pleased to be nominated on the night for Website of the Year too after the launch of a brand new website earlier in the year.
Josh Clarke (Marketing Director) and Mackenzie Clarke (Clubhouse Manager) were in attendance on the night to collect the award. Josh said:
"It is an absolute honour to be recognised for the hard work and dedication by each and every member of the Bondhay team — and a proud moment to see that this is being noticed by our customers and wider community. The last 18 months or so has been full of change, some dramatic and others not so, such as the renovation and introduction of the Trackman Range, overhaul and investment into the Course and much more. A huge thank you to Club Mirror, our members, visitors and of course the staff at the Club who without this wouldn't be possible!"
Next, Bondhay will be attending the Yorkshire Prestige Awards after winning Golf Club of the Year and aiming high in the next round of awards in 2024.
